The Worst Way To Start A Vacation...

...Is definitely missing your train. Yep, we missed the train this morning. It felt bad. We were the most pathetic sight ever. But more on that later, first, lemme explain why we missed the train. Well, first off, my dad insisted that we go to Kroger to get us some snacks for the train. Then we missed our exit. Then we ran into about a million detours. Then we got onto the platform. Then, as we made our way to get on, it slowly but surely started moving away. Mind you, my mom was in the station telling them that we needed to get on, but the guy WOULD NOT tell the train to stop. Asshole. We were there at 5:15 am, which is on time.

Anyhoo, we had the most priceless/crushed expressions on our faces. If someone would have been videotaping, it would have won money. But we weren't the only ones to miss the train. We met Yvette and Kenneth. They were nice. So, on to the adventure. First, we're told that we have to go to Flint to catch a bus that will take us to Battle Creek so we can get on a train to Chicago. Ugh. There were easier options, but he failed to inform us of them. So, for the time being, we went home. Cat and I were a gigantic pathetic mess. I know both of us wanted to cry. But we held a stiff upper lip and collapsed onto the futon when we got home, all the while, discussing just how retarded we felt.

We left home around 7:00 am and made our way to Flint. On the way, we stopped at a Big Boy's for brekkie. Funny story. So we're sitting down for breakfast and I make the declaration that I have to pee, which is hardly uncommon, so Cat and I go to the bathroom (I know, we travel in packs, what can I say?) And I go for the handicap stall because theres something yucky in the other toilet. But Cat, being the brave one, goes to flush the toilet and use that one. As soon as I sit down, I hear a deafening sound and I hear Cat's voice calling me...she sounded like she was in pain. So I told her to hang on so that I could finish peeing. So I did. Then I open the door to discover the strangest sight. Cat on the floor with the bathroom door. She completely took out the door. Completely. Apparently the door was somewhat off its hinges and she went to close/open it and it came off and she and it crashed into the wall together. And she really hurt her shoulder...I had to pull on her arm to pop it somewhat back into place. I think that was worth missing the train. Then we had to recount the story to my parents and the waitress. We didn't file an accident report though...wimp.

Now that that exciting portion is over, we fell asleep on the way to Flint and drove around in Flint for a while until we woke up. When we woke up, my dad had pulled into this parking lot full of modular homes because he wanted to put one on the property up north. They're all a hell of a lot bigger and prettier, outside and in ;), than my house. The people there thought we were sisters. Thats probably because Cat has the habit of calling my parents mom and dad. Unusual and yet expected. But holy crap, these houses are HUGE, they have upstairs and everything. We finally got to the station and waited for our bus with our new friends, Yvette and Kenneth. We traveled with them the whole way to Chicago. It was nice. The remainder of our journey wasn't that exciting, it was pretty much: sleep, listen to music, talk, sleep, eat a cracker, listen to music, talk...

Then we got to Chicago. Finally. A few hours late. My uncle picked us up at Union Station and we took Lakeshore Drive, the coolest road in the world, almost all the way to his house. It runs along the coastline of Lake Michigan, which is all part of Chicago. I think Cat was in awe. We got home to his awesome condo, a few blocks from the lake, and oddly enouch, took a walk to the lake, it must be a swimmer thing...must identify water source, MUST IDENTIFY WATER SOURCE!!! Its such a pretty lake. I'm in love with it. Then we came back home and ordered Chicago Style deep dish pizza with yummy stuff in it, I believe it was Barry's Pizza. It was so good, though Cat and I, as mere amateurs, could only eat one piece each, while Uncle Bill could devour 2 or 3. Then we both kind of drifted off while watching What Lies Beneath. Then we went to bed and fell fast asleep.

It's my anniversary, baby

So, this weekend I went to Amanda's and Cat's graduation parties. I didn't stay long at Amanda's cuz I had to get home, but I did have an awesome time on her trampoline. Sunday, I was in the parade and I saw a lot of people that I knew from the red camaro that Allison and I were in. I also got sunburned. Then, almost as soon as I got home, I changed and went to Cat's graduation party. Oh, I failed to mention how I was woken up this morning. Just so you know, I was wearing a shirt and underwear, then I hear this odd noise and a door or two slamming and I look out my window and it's none other than Dex, Telly and Cat. Yay. I threw on the nearest pair of pants. Still an awesome way to wake up though. Anyhoo, after the parade, I high-tailed it to Cat's house. I pretty much snuck in without her noticing, Dex and Telly had to greet me. Damn Cat. It was awesome catching up with Dex and Telly, which I did for close to an hour. I love them Floridians. The party was fun, albiet I had a bad case of hick feet when I got home. They were SO dirty from the volleyball.
Yesterday I worked and then went to Rec for a bit. Then I came home and cleaned my room. It was SO hot upstairs, holy crap, I was sweating profusely. Then I showered and fell asleep.
Today should be good, we're taking the Rec kids to see Madagascar. Then I have to take another road trip to Circuit City to take back that damn CD burner. I hate it. A lot. Oh, btw, yesterday, I found my box of notes from last year, they are HILARIOUS. There are just no words for them. At all. Whatsoever. Okay, I have to shower, change, and go to Rec. Love ya, bye.
Oh, and today is the 5 year anniversary of leaving for Europe, which may not seem significant to many, but it was to me.

Oh, The Places You Will Go

Dude! I got the Dr. Suess book Oh The Places You Will Go for graduation. Yess! That is one of the coolest books. I so have not had time to blog as of late, I've been uber busy. Let's see:

Monday : I think I went to work from 10:30 to 2:45. Then I wrote thank you cards (which I am still not done with), and I probably went out and did something.
Tuesday : I went to work, but I do not remember what I did before or after, although I am sure thank you cards were in there somewhere.
Wednesday : I went to work and did a puzzle with my mom and may have gone out.
Thursday : I didn't go to work, but I did go to Great Lakes Crossing with my grandma and I got myself a faulty CD burner at Circuit City. Then I got myself a gigantic towel and a set of twin sheets for $15. Then I went to the Rainforest Cafe with Nana and had coconut shrimp. As soon as I got home, Cat showed up and we went on an ill fated journey to Bay Rama. I came so close to throwing up, but I held strong. Then I went out to my cousins house to get him so we could go to the fire works, which were really good, by the way.
Friday : I took Trev home and ran a few errands for my aunt, then I came home and then went up to work and the bank to do some errands. Then Cat and I went to Circuit City to exchange my faulty CD burner (only to recieve another piece of crap). Then the power went out and I couldn't exchange it, so we went to Best Buy so I could use my $75 gift card to get a printer for school. Then we went to Bed Bath and Beyond. It was good.

And today, I get to go to work. Yay. And fill out more thank you cards. Because that's what I do.

1 more week until Chicago!

I Ain't No Hollaback Girl...

Well, I've been busier than fuck since my last post. I worked most of last week and went to rec a few times and I don't remember much else. I had my graduation party on Saturday and it was a blast. A lot of people that I didn't think would show up did and a lot of people that I expected to show up, didn't. But hey, it was a good time anyways. Gia kicked ass on the food, let me tell you. She did an awesome job. I made out pretty well, though I ain't posting the amount that I got ;). Oh, and Flo Hayman gave Steph my gift and me Steph's gift...we're switching back as I type. Haha. Um...I haven't much more to say...My mom and dad are watching the Matrix and I keep zoning out to it. Loves, hugs and kisses.

Oh, as I reminisce...

Wow, I forgot how much I love Rec. I swear, there's nothing better than going to the park and playing with kids for 5 - 6 hours. There' even a smell associated with Rec, sunblock. Everytime I smell sunblock, it brings me to a happy place in my head; I smelled it at work the other day and it put me in the best mood. Anyways, I'm happy that I'm gonna be there this summer. But, I need to get some super sunblock, I got so burned today, and it wasn't even sunny. I'll have to get a tan somehow. So anyways, there's this boy named Isaac and he's gonna be my shadow, I can feel it. I met him by him attaching himself to me whilst swimming. I absolutely love the Semaan boys though. They are adorable. And I get to hang out with two of my favorite people, Amanda and Cat...CATIE. I get to call her Catie all summer. And I'm not gonna stop when we got to college. MWAHAHAHAHA!! Oh...and we saw Stephanie and Cooper today at the park...Steph works there and Cooper just showed up. All in all, it was a good day.

Going To Work Dead Tired is...AWESOME

Well, I'm absofuckinglutely ecstatic about going to work this morning, I've got a fucking pounding headache. And now I have to clean and then go to work. It's gonna be a lovely day. And now my mom is yelling at me because she doesn't think that I want to help her clean. Well, no shit. Doesn't mean that I'm not going to help. And now she's mad at me because I have a big work schedule today. Fuck me. No, fuck you.

The Bungee Run Sucks Ass

Yeah, I know I haven't really updated since Monday...but I haven't really been on the computer either. I've had a rather eventful week, if you count getting out of work for a neck injury eventful. Shyeah...I got whiplash and a mild concussion from that stupid bungee thing at the Senior All Night Party. Damn damn damnit. Anywho...I'm outta work for a few days. So that's awesome. I get to go back to the Chiropractor today, who by the way, also let me know that I had a fused disk in my back and scoliosis. WTF??? I don't believe him, my back has been fine every single time I've gone to the chiro, and now I have all of these maladies...my ass.

Oh! Monday night, Cat and I went to see The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants. Totally cute movie. Yes, I did just say totally cute. We could have a sisterhood of the travelling scrubs...? Lord knows we have enough of them.

Tuesday...I went to work, then the chiro...not much here, although Paul is a lifesaver.

Wednesday -- Well, in the morning, I went to Timmy's with Lia and had breakfast. The new yogurt thing is pretty darn good. Then we went to Target for a minute and I got a new purse and a much needed notebook. Then I went to the chiro and got an accident report to give to Mrs. Accivatti. For the life of me, I cannot spell that name. Then I dropped it off at the school. After that, I went home for a while and did stuff....and accidentally took a nap, I was playing with my dog. Then I ran over to my Nana's house to drop off a TV Guide and I watched a little bit of Catch Me If You Can with her. Then I got home and Cat called. Then we decided to be stealthy and go for a 'walk'...but actually go to the beach to go swimming before the storm. We swam for like ten minutes and it started getting shitty...but no lightening, or so we thought. As we were getting ready to get out of the water, Cat's like 'Isn't that your dad?' Hahaha....it was, but he's cool and didn't get us in trouble with my mom (she doesn't believe in swimming in the shit hole...I mean lake). So anyone reading this KEEP YO' MOUTH SHUT. This means you Uncle Bill. So we're walking home and get as far as the Rec before it's just too bad to carry on. We called none other than my dad. As soon as we got home, Cat left and our power went out. It didn't come back until midnight-ish... So my mom and dad and I played poker with a flashlight. How extraordinarily fun.

Today -- We'll just have to see, won't we?

C'est Fini

Well, today was commencement...and it was pretty boring. But, Cat did a speech and I thought it was PERFECT. My mom and dad and my brother and his girlfriend came to watch the ceremony. After, I took a few pictures with friends and then we went to Mongolian Barbeque. Yay!

When we got home, I tried really hard to go to sleep, but I only achieved that half-awake state of awareness. And I read a little bit...Ya-Ya's In Bloom was awesome. Sexy book. Then at about 9:30, I took a shower and got prepared for the Senior All Night Party. Oh, but during my shower, there was a thunderstorm and the hot water turned off. Anyways, at about 10:10, I arrived at the Senior All Night Party and met Cat. We got to ride on a horse drawn carraige to the front of the school. The horse's were really big and they smelled funny. And there wasn't enough room on the carraige, so Cat had to sit on Steph's lap and Allison Deeb had to sit on mine. Haha.

So, when we got in, we got our wrist bands that said "Class of 2005" on them and we got our animal hats. I was an elephant, but accidentally left it on the bleachers. Then we went and did the mirage of things to do. We played laser tag, did those bungee run things (which by the way, give you the slightest onset of whiplash...my neck still hurts), fought with gigantic sticks, went on the super slide, got our fortunes read, saw a psychic, got tattoos, took pictures and did a motion simulator thing. Then, at 4 am, we saw this guy called Greg Steele and he did a hypnosis/comedy show. It was hilarious. Wait a minute! I forgot about Cat's stalker for the night. I swear, Tyler is in love with her "CATHERINE......CATHERINE.....CATHERINE.....!!!" But he was very inappropriate, like being all touchy feely and shit, so during laser tag, I yelled at him and started beating him with my laser gun. Then when we got out, mind you it was 3:45 am, I said "Either it's really late, or you're really annoying" and he called me uptight and walked away...but, job done, he was scaring Cat...So I scared him. Then Cat didn't want to be alone. It was funny.

Then I went home and slept for 8 hours. Spank my ass and call me Bertha.

J'aime Lia

Tonight, I went up to Timmy's to meet Lia and she gave me her Health Occ. stuff so that I could use it for college...WOOT!!

There Is A Place, It Has A Face...

Okay, now I'll update a little more on Orientation. It was great and I'm pretty positive that I'm going to major in Health Administration while simultaneously getting the requirements for the Physician's Assistant program. It's not a major or anything, it's just a pre-professional program, which I have to finish in grad school, I need my masters in something...but hopefully I can get a masters in Health Administration as well. It would be absolutely perfect. In ten years, I'm so gonna be running a hospital in CHICAGO!!!

Anyways, here's my tentative schedule:

HON 100B - Introduction to Honors Fri. 2:00pm - 3:50pm
ASL 101H - Honors American Sign Language Tues. & Thurs. 12:30pm - 1:45pm
FRN 201 - Intermediate French Mon. Tues. Wed. & Thurs. 10:00am - 10:50am
GRN 247 - Intro To Gerontology Mon. Wed. & Fri. 11:00am - 11:50am
HSC 201 - Medical Terminology Tues. 6:30pm - 8:20pm
MTH 132 - Calculus I Mon. Tues. Wed. & Thurs. 9:00am - 9:50am

Yes, I realize I'm taking Calc again, but my teacher was completely incompetent. Anyways, Cat and I have it really easy for college, we barely have to buy anything...we do, however, have to figure out how to get the bigger room. That is the only problem.

Anywho, back to Orientation. The drive home seemed extremely quick, probably because Cat and I were talking the ENTIRE time, our friend Lia was asleep in the backseat. Then we went to Mongolian Barbeque and had a wonderful meal. It was Dee-lish. We finally got home around 9 or 10. I think. All and all it was good.

Dooooooooooooood!

Okay, I'm the fricken giddiest person in the whole world right now! First off, I found my major and minor, Health Administration and Gerontology respectively. Which makes me get my dream job, running a hospital. I really really want to double major, since it makes sense and can probably make me more successful in the long run. I'm kinda thinking about doing Pre-Physician Assistant though...sounds like it could be useful an I intend on going to graduate school. I'm too excited to type...tomorrow will be better...all I can say is that we had a blast.

Hola

Yeah, I'm feeling slightly awesome knowing that I never have to set foot in Anchor Bay again. Yesterday I went to work at 6:00 am and this one lady, who is about 45, asked me if I had a hangover...I must have looked really tired...I was like "NO!!! I don't drink...I just don't sleep either." But it kinda made me happy. Then I spent the entire day making salad stuff and choppin' veggies. It was good.

Around 4:00 I went with my dad to the movies to see the last Star Wars movie. First, we went to Play It Again sports and I got some ice skates on sale. They're sexy. Anyways, then we saw the movie and got kicked by little kids the whole way through. The movie explained why Anakin went to the dark side, but it was kinda sad, either way, the movie was okay. Then I came home and Cat and I went roller blading for about an hour. We saw Jeff. Yay. Then we went on the dock (in our roller blades) and did the most cliched thing EVER. We talked about the universe. Hehe. Go ahead, shout "nerds" at the top of your lungs. Now I gotta go get ready for work. Loves, hugs and kisses.

When It's Over...That's The Time I Fall In Love Again...

Okay, weirdest sensation ever...never HAVING to step foot inside Anchor Bay High School again. Except for Senior Breakfast, which we aren't legally bound to go to. But woah. This is fucked up. I cried when the final bell rang...I guess I'm just more sensative than everyone else. I'm going to go ahead and assume that me going to Anchor Bay since I was three may have something to do with the tears. I know that in a week I'm never gonna see most of these people again in my life...except maybe at a reunion or something. I'm gonna copy off of Cat with a list of things I'll miss and that I won't miss. It's nerdy, but I don't care, I'm feeling nostalgic. But first, the rest of my day.

We went to Mongolian Barbeque for lunch (Nicole, Cat, Lia, Allison & Moi). It was splendid, except for seeing one person that I absolutely hate. But otherwise, I had a delicious lunch with lemon and soy sauce on top. And rice. I love rice. Oh, and I found out that Allison Drompp and I have our names on the Citizen's State Bank scroll-thing at the 23 Mile Rd branch because we won the Bay Rama Scholarship. Woot.

A few hours later, I met Cat and Lia at the hockey rink for Jamie's 14 birthday party and we ice skated our asses off. It was fun stuff. And I begged Cat to drive me home because I was insanely tired and she wouldn't. Bitch. So much for best friends, huh? I should have pictures from today up on webshots tomorrow...if I can get them from Lia. Oh, and from yesterday's car painting extravaganza. Onto the list:

Things I won't miss:

1. French...nuff said
2. Certain swim bitches
3. The drama
4. Wilk
5. The stairs
6. Ossy
7. Underclassmen
8. The sluts in Ossy's class
9. Waking up

Things I will miss:

1. Mrs. Len
2. Seeing my best friends every day (you know who you are)
3. Bruce
4. COOPER!!
5. Steph, Allison and Andy
6. Kevin
7. Megan!
8. Corey and Adrian
9. Our second home (The pool, duh!)
10. Swim
11. Being completely inappropriate and having the Calc class overhear

His hip...really?

Okay, I so haven't posted in forever and a day...actually for a week, but that's besides the point. Well, I been a busy girl. I worked 11:30 to 8:00 all weekend, meaning that I am gone during the peak hours of the day.

On Monday, I went to work from 10:00 AM for an inservice and didn't get out until 3:00 PM...then I went home and cleaned.

Tuesday was a special day. School was boring as EVER, but that's besides the point, we got out of History to do awards ceremony practice. All I can say is COGGINS!!! She's such a freak. Oh! I almost forgot, Cat and I were double agents yesterday, we went on a mission to find programs from the Senior Awards Ceremony. Didn't work, but we felt stealthy. Then Cat and I went to her house to do our project, which she had mostly finished anyways...I feel bad, but she said that she'd do some and email it to me to finish...and she DIDN'T. So there. After that, Cat had another stick lesson. Good times. Oh, and Cooper saw her driving and laughed. Yay. Then we traded yearbooks and brought them back to the awards ceremony. Just so everyone knows, we are morphing into the same person. We wrote the same things in each other's yearbooks. My God. So then we went to the awards ceremony, which was fun. Then we were awarded our scholarships, which I completely forgot about...and I didn't even tell my mom and dad about. Now, I went into this knowing that I wasn't gonna get any awards and I was content with that. They read some scholarships, then they got to the ones that I applied for. They read off the Bay Rama scholarships and I heard my name, but it didn't register...then I realized that I had won. I freaked out. So I went up there and claimed my $1000 scholarship and my place in the Bay Rama parade. Then they read another few and called me up again, this time for the Lions Club scholarship! So now I'm up to $2000. Then they called me up a third time, this time for the Amvets club scholarship, bringing my grand total to $3000. I swear, I feel like the luckiest person in the world, I don't think I have ever won anything in my life and probably won't again. Then they were reading one about a girl that had 675 hours of community service and worked at the park and managed the boys swim team...and I was like "Oh yeah, ITS CAT!" Hell yeah, you rock! But yeah, it was a good night.

Then today...well, I'll have to post later, I've gotta go to my grandma's house for a bit. Loves, hugs and kisses.

Shitty Week

Okay, I know I haven't posted since Saturday, but I've had a shitty week so far. I do have a day off from work tomorrow though. Woot! So yeah, I have been really bitch lately, mostly to Cat, she always happens to be there when I get pissed off... Sorry Cat!! You know I love you. Then today in sixth hour, we got our progress reports...and I turned into uber bitch. Actually, I said shut up and didn't talk to anyone for a while. Then I felt really bad and couldn't figure out why I've been so stressed out. Then, after school, I spontaneously combusted into tears. You shoulda seen Cat's face. It was priceless. But yeah, SHITTY WEEK. Gotta go to work now. Bye.

Friday The 13th continued...

And every few minutes, we would burst our laughing at our predicament ...
although one of those times, Cat had juice in her mouth and spit it ALL OVER the dashboard. So, my dad finally came and beeped at us and scared the shit out of us, then we laughed again. After doing what he could for a little while, he finally had to push us backwards and made me 'pop the clutch'...whatever that means, but it did start the car! Woot! We took his car and went to the Chesterfield Library and rented Billy Elliot and Flashdance...Then we went to the Rec to harass Kasy for some pictures. Then we went back to Cat's to watch the movies...Billy Elliot was good...Flashdance was bad. Nuff said. Then I went home and went to bed because I had to work this morning at 6:15.

Friday The 13th

Okay, what is going on with the universe? I officially had the weirdest day ever. And I mean WEIRDEST. It started off at about 9:00 am, so around 10:00, I picked up Cat and we began our journey into oblivion. We went to Stony Creek with the intention of riding our bikes around the lake and going kayaking. We achieved .71 miles before deciding that we were both frozen and sick and we should turn back. When we arrived at the parking lot, I decided to give an impromptu stick shift lesson. It started off very well, Cat only stalled at 2 stop signs, which is quite impressive for a two time stick driver. Since she was doing so well, I decided that it would be appropriate for her to drive us home, it is fun to have your own personal chauffeur. Well, it turned out to be an interesting decision to say the least. We were going just fine, she even navigated us through construction traffic...until we met the intersection of 23 mile road and Fairchild. The light turned red, so we stopped. The light turned green, so we tried to go...but we stalled. Then we stalled again. Then the car died. Then the hazards wouldn't go on. Then I got out of the car and flagged down a car to help me push, if we sat at that intersection for too much longer, we WOULD get rear-ended. I saw the one guy's butt crack as he exited his car. It was gross. Anyways, Cat is hell bent on the idea that she broke my car...when in reality, she only helped it along to surgery by moving it up on the donor list, as the 12 year old starter was on its way out. Long story short, $100, my daddy and a few days and my car will be good as new. Anyways, we waited in the parking lot of a Christian Financial bank for an hour, then my dad rescued us. Oh, and it was pouring rain while we were waiting in the car. And every few minutes, we would burst our laughing at our predicament...although one of those times, Cat had juice in her mouth and spit it ALL OVER the dashboard. I'm gonna have to post the rest later, I'm real tired.

Melodramatic kind of life...

May I be an over dramatic whiner for a minute? I HATE MY FAMILY. My dad is being so unpleasant lately. So fucking unpleasant. But anyways, I'm done whining. I got that meningitis vaccine today...I was freaking out beforehand...then I got it done and it didn't even hurt. Oh, and I drank so much water today, a whole 120 ounces. I peed like every 25 minutes. Quite an eventful day. Laters mi amigos. Oh, and Senior Skip Day is gonna be fun...Me and Cat are going to Stony Creek and kayaking! Woot!

Everything I do...I do it for you

Okay, I recently realized that I do not like the name Logan. It sucks. Or morgan for that matter. And I really don't like the name Gretchen...it's not really a name, it kinda reminds me of Grendel from Beowulf. Okay, we're needin' to watch Rocky Horror...its been so long since I've seen that movie. I gotta go to bed. I'm tard.
