So... I've had quite a weekend

This weekend officially started on Wednesday night, as Lia & I had a sleepover and watched RENT. I think I've converted another. :) Sadly, I had to go to a few classes on Thursday, but whatever.

It was Sibs Weekend up here @ CMU. It was pretty fun. I picked up the chitlins (Rachel & Taylor) at Birch Run from my mumma on Thursday night. Friday was pretty cool, first we had Big Apple Bagels for breakfast, then we had to make a quick detour to the Down Under Foodcourt so I could do an interview for the Alternative Break to Florida this summer. I'll be rescuing sea turtles!! I'm so pumped for this summer, by the way. On to Sibs:

We signed in @ Finch around 2:00, where they had a bunch of fun stuff for the sibs to do, including face painting & balloon animals. We went back to the dorm after a while and played Mario & such, then went back for the comedy/juggling show and the magic show. The Jugglers (Team Rootberry) were quite entertaining, they definitely knew how to juggle a million times better than the average person. Then Ben (illegitimate cousin) called because he had brought his sister Sophie up for the weekend, which is Rachel & Taylor's actual cousin. He definitely called and said "Hey Sam, this is Ben, your almost cousin thing." Then we had the magic show, performed by Mike Super. He is pretty much magician crossed with Dane Cook. Fantastic.

Saturday we had breakfast in the commons, where Taylor saw another one of her cousins. Geez. Then we went to the carnival and they had a billion inflatable thingies, including a velcro wall and a bungee run. I personally enjoyed the bungee run a lot. It was sweet. Then around 5:00 we went back to Finch and helped set up for the Epic Hero / Everclear concert. I picked up the Epic Hero cd & shirt because they were really good (Um yeah, we've been myspace buddies for weeks ;) ). And because the shirt is cool. I think the chitlins had a good time at the concert, it was pretty cool. I wasn't too impressed with Everclear, but they were still ok, just a little bit full of themselves, and when I say they, I mean the aging lead singer. But I won't say no to an autograph or 2. Then I took them out for ice cream at Cold Stone at 11:02 pm. Becuase I'm a bad illegitimate cousin. Let's just say it was delicious, no point in making you guys jealous. Then we went back and went to sleep. Sunday we went to Big Apple Bagels for breakfast then headed off back to Birch Run to drop them off with Patty, Rachel's mom. She gave me a scarf. It's pretty cool.

To recover from the absurdity that was sibs weekend, I went back to the dorm and played Mario for approximately 4 hours. Then I went online. REAL PRODUCTIVE.

Today I'm gonna go to Maplewood & volunteer for an hour, then time for the SAC. Woot. Oh, and if anyone at all is interested in James Blunt ticket(s) let me know, if I don't find another unsuspecting James Blunt fan in the next week, my mother is making me sell the tickets because she doesn't want to go to the concert. Which I'm sad about, but I'm not that worried about it, it's not like I don't get to go to concerts.

So, I get home & a double murder occurs...? No, I didn't do it...

So, last night around 5:30, police in New Baltimore found a husband and wife that had been murdered in their home on Lempke street. Yeah, that's less than a mile from my house. Freaky, no? The last murder to occur was that of Justin Mello, about 6 years ago, then one happened 30 years before that. Whoa. But I couldn't have done it, I got home around 9:00 pm, so I'm not responsible, I swear. But yeah, I'm a little freaked out, as they haven't caught the suspects yet... I had to go outside about 20 minutes ago and I was totally scared shitless. I ran SO fast to get back into the house. But it's all good now, the doors are locked... I think. Damn, now I have to go check. But yeah, my parents didn't know about it until today when my mom & I were driving down Front street and we saw the channel 2, 4, & 7 news vans. Needless to say, my mom stopped and asked what happened.

Today I had quite a day, got up around 9 and mom & I went to breakfast at Country Inn. And guess who was there? Nana! Haha. She's great. Then we went to the mall to get some drapery. I'm not sure what else we did, but I got home really tired. Then I went up to the Rec to get some chairs & a card table for Euchre tomorrow night. Then I stopped by Middles School south to see Mr. Pagel... where I ran into... Cat? Yeah, she was there. That was strange. Then I went to see coach, then FINALLY, I went home. Now I'm just putsing around the house trying to avoid cleaning.

I adopted a hedgehog...

...on my myspace. He's pink & his name is Juan. I love him. H'ok, so... I'm super busy lately, but I love it. For the 3-Day, Lia & I have been going to the SAC & walking 3 miles. It's not that bad when you are talking to someone, it seems to go buy pretty fast. We'll probably go up about one half mile per week, so by the time we go we'll be very ready. We've already started fundraising, so we'll be sweet.

Oh oh oh oh! So I had a comprehensive hearing test this morning & for now, my hearing is normal. They said I need some other tests done, but I should be fine for a while. Although I am at the bad end of the spectrum of good hearing, so I have to keep tabs on it. But whatev, I'm so not deaf! Woot!

If anyone wants to go to a James Blunt concert on Friday, March 24 @7:00pm at the State Theater, let me know, I have one extra ticket. Oh, and if anyone wants to hang out this weekend, I'll be home so just gimme a call. I must be off to Community Health now, then we're off to the SAC, then dinner... then I go to GSA for our Valentines Day party, you know, we pass out Valentines from like 3rd grade... it should be sweet. Oh, then we're going to the Community Service committee tonight to see if they will give us their money. Sounds hot. Ok, class time.
Later my lovers.

I'm an old lady

Yeah, so my effing back is dead. I don't know what the hell to do, it hurts so bad. I went to the Chiropractor on Friday afternoon and it felt better for a day, but now its back to hurting like a bitch. I'm almost ready to go get a handicap sticker at Foust, but that would be bad. Lia & I went to the SAC today and worked out for a bit, ran a mile, worked out a little, then ran on the track for a lil bit. It was nice. Although now it feels like there is a battle of epic proportions going on in my back. Damn.

Oh! Last night's Grey's Anatomy left us on the edge of our seats. Those whores gave us a cliffhanger. CODE BLACK. There was a bomb in some guy's BODY CAVITY. Weird. Anyways, I'm in the Health Professions Computer Lab and the guy who is sitting next to me looks like a shorter Alex Karev. Too bad Cat isn't here, she'd probably jump his bones.

I advise everyone to read the book Skinny Dip by Carl Hiaasen. It is gonna be good. This lady gets pushed off of a cruise ship by her pathetic excuse for a husband and then she stays with the guy that found her to feign death. Apparently she's gonna royally screw with her husband. It should be sweet.

Ok, so I've gotta go read the news paper.

It's only been a week since my last post, why do I feel guilty?

So last night, Lia helped me spruce up my four year plan and now it kicks ass. I have some lofty goals for the summer though, let me tell you. First off, I've decided that it would be best if I sold my car at the beginning of summer, as the farthest I will have to go to work is the Village and that is 2.2 miles away, an easy distance on a bike. I don't think that I'll be needing a car otherwise and if I do, good 'ole mom & dad have two cars... Second, I'm gonna be taking classes at Macomb this summer, as it will save me a whole lotta money in the long run. Anyway, I only have to take these classes because they're UPs, which are University Program. They are dumb. But it should save me a few thousand dollars. All the while, I'll be working at the Rec, either as head lifeguard or as a counselor and contingent at the Village. Either way its gonna be awesome. Oh, and Kasy said I could teach a sign language class once a week, which would take nothing & it would be good fun. So, if I live through the summer, life will be good... but I thrive on being busy, so it should all work out. Aight, I've gotta get ready to go, Lia & I are on our way to the SAC.
